Haven’t you noticed? The lights are already in place on London’s most famous street, but they won’t be switched on until the 7th of November. It’s the fifty-eighth year the road has been decorated for the festive period and is expected to attract over one million Christmas-lovers and this year we’re promised falling snowflakes and the whole mile of Oxford Street covered in a blanket of bright white lights and 1,778 baubles.
No word on yet on which celebrities will be doing the honours, but expect a celebrity of the caliber of previous years – including Kylie Minogue, Cheryl, Jessie J and last year’s star, Craig David. Once again Oxford Street has partnered with the NSPCC again to raise awareness of the charity’s 2017 Christmas campaign.
